"He will win by stoppage": Hasim Rahman confident about the outcome of Usyk-Fury rematch

Rahman predicts who will win in Usyk-Fury rematch

Former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman expressed confidence that the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) will end in a landslide victory for the Ukrainian boxer. The American noted that the career of the Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is called, was seriously affected by three fights against Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs).

Rahman voiced this opinion in an interview with the YouTube channel FightHype. He noted that the trilogy of Fury and Wilder caused serious damage to both boxers, which is why their best qualities fell in level, and Usyk managed to shake him up in their first fight and made sure he was superior.

"I believe that Usyk will win this rematch by stoppage. I know he knows he can drop him, he can hurt him, and now I think the confidence is there. I think he will win by stoppage. I think Deontay Wilder got a big, big play in this Usyk and Tyson Fury rematch. I believe that Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury took everything out of each other. I think they both shells of ther former selves," Rahman said.

As a reminder, the rematch between Usyk and Fury will take place on December 21. In the first fight, Oleksandr defeated Tyson by split decision - 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 - and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.

A month after the fight, on May 18, the Ukrainian was forced to give up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt, which was defended by Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) on September 21, brutally knocking out Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs).
