The manager of IBF and IBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) said that his client is not ready to fight American WBA champion Jervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs). The conversation with Aegis Klimas on his account X (formerly Twitter) was transmitted by journalist Steve Kim.
"Loma is not in the mood right now, he has no motivation at the moment. He's leaving, he wants to spend more time with his family. He doesn't want to do anything for the rest of the year. So he definitely won't be in the ring until the end of the year," the journalist quoted Klimas as saying.

According to Kim, despite the fact that the fight with Davis is very lucrative, Klimas doesn't think Vasyl will go for it.
"As for Loma, he's motivated by more than just money. He doesn't take on anything just because of money. You can offer him millions, tens of millions of dollars – if he's not motivated, he's not ready to prepare for the fight," Kim quoted Klimas as saying.
