Cabinet of Ministers finds money for Okhmatdyt: all victims will receive payments, amount announced
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 100 million from the state budget reserve fund to carry out priority restoration work at Okhmatdyt after the Russian missile strike on July 8. In this case, each affected family, together with UNICEF, will receive assistance for 10.8 thousand UAH per family member.
The clinic will be rebuilt completely, and work will begin immediately, although the reconstruction project has not yet been approved. This was emphasized by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting on June 9.
According to him, funding for the restoration of Okhmatdyt will increase. "Today, we are allocating UAH 100 million from the state budget reserve fund for the priority restoration work at Okhmatdyt. We will further increase funding as the reconstruction project is prepared," the Prime Minister said.
He reminded that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had set a task to find places for doctors and patients from the destroyed buildings as soon as possible. "Such locations have already been found. These are Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospitals #1 and #2. We are giving the appropriate order to start the relocation," Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister also noted that the United24 platform managed to raise UAH 100 million for Okhmatdyt in a few hours. All these funds will also be used to restore the hospital.
