Boxing legend Lennox Lewis named the only way to defeat Usyk
World boxing legend Lennox Lewis has revealed his method of defeating Ukrainian super champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs). According to the Briton, our compatriot often misses uppercuts and this is the key to success in confrontations with him.
Lewis expressed this opinion in an interview with the YouTube channel Fight Hub TV. The former absolute world heavyweight champion also questioned the widespread belief that the 37-year-old boxer from Simferopol is not good at body punches.
"How to beat Usyk? I would throw a good uppercut. Because he is vulnerable to such punches. I would hit him hard with an uppercut and that's how I would fight him. Is Usyk's body weak? Listen, everyone who has problems with this goes and works on the body. And then they only fuel these conversations - let them think that I have a weak body, that I am vulnerable. But now I have a strong body, and if they try to hit me, they will get a response," Lewis said.
Earlier, after winning a rematch over Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs), Usyk had already accepted the challenge of another Briton, Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs), whom he defeated in 2023.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, manager Aegis Klimas told when Oleksandr Usyk plans to return to the ring. Artificial intelligence has already made a forecast for the Ukrainian's fight.
