"It was a strange day. For two weeks I had been sparring with him, we had been sparring hard in the evenings, but that day it was around noon. There was a lot of wrestling during the sparring - and I also do professional wrestling – so I had some good moments where I put him in a bad position. If you look at the punch, it was a clean punch, but the way he was holding my head... He was pulling my head forward towards him. So maybe that's why the elbow also went into his face. But first of all, it was a blow. It was a terrible accident," said Smakici.

It was because of this moment that the grandiose fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion was postponed to May 18. Tyson apologized for his injury, and a video of the moment with his injury was shown online. In response, fans reacted angrily to the situation.
