Bellew names the danger in the Usyk-Fury fight

The famous super heavyweight gave a frank interview

The famous British super heavyweight Tony Bellew (30-3-1, 20 KOs) made his prediction for the fight for the title of absolute champion between Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The former world champion believes that the Ukrainian will win, but fears that there will be unfair refereeing.

"It will be interesting. I think it will be unpleasant to watch, but Oleksandr Usyk will win. I hope he won't get robbed by the judges, because if he wins by decision, it will be the best result of any fighter I've ever seen. The Ukrainian fought every champion in his territory and unified the divisions. He did it in the heavyweight division. He came home to London to Anthony Joshua and beat him there," Boxing Social quoted Bellew as saying.

Earlier, Bellew urged not to write Usyk off, accepting the fact that Oleksandr has been an impressive success in breaking into the heavyweight division.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, earlier Tony Bellew called the fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) the most difficult in his career. According to the Briton, the referee of the 2018 fight literally saved his life by stopping the fight in the eighth round.

We would like to remind you that the Usyk-Fury fight was originally scheduled for February 17, but Fury suffered a serious cut on February 2 during training. As a result, the fight was officially postponed to the spring of 2024.

Turki Al al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Entertainment, said the May 18 show will go ahead anyway. The organizer of the boxing night in Riyadh has come up with a rule that will prevent the fight from being disrupted again.

In addition, Turki Al Al-Sheikh noted that either Usyk or Tyson will face a $10 million fine if either of them refuses to perform.

It is worth noting that recently the famous British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (34-14, 23 KOs) expressed confidence that the Ukrainian will win this fight, using a very specific tactic.

In early March, it became known that the World Boxing Council (WBC) supported the initiative that the winner of Fury-Usyk should fight Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs). At the same time, the organization confirmed that it had authorized two fights between the British and Ukrainian for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion.
