A video showing North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un watching a volleyball match has gone viral on social media. The video first appeared in January last year, but on February 22, it found a new life on the Internet.

On January 23, 2024, the historyinmemes account on X (formerly Twitter) posted this video with the caption "Kim Jong-un watching a volleyball match." In less than a day, the post received over 33.9 million views and 132 thousand likes.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his daughter Joo Ae greet the audience as they watch a volleyball match between the navy and air force teams on August 27, 2023, on the occasion of Navy Day, which was celebrated the next day.

As soon as the dictator enters the room, all the spectators, as if on cue, begin to cheer him wildly. The same thing happens after the game is over.

Many users doubt the authenticity of the video, but the original footage of this broadcast can be found on the website of the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the official state agency of North Korea.

A lengthy recording featuring Kim Jong-un and his daughter was shown on television in honor of Navy Day.

South Korean officials claim that Kim Jong has not yet appointed his daughter as his heir apparent. However, they believe that he is using her public appearances to show the people that power in the country may be inherited again in the future, as it has been twice before.
