But what if you don't have parchment at hand? FoodOboz tells you what alternatives you can use instead.

Office paper and tracing paper

Office paper can be found in almost every home. It can easily replace parchment, but only after some preparation. By generously oiling or greasing the paper, it can be used instead of the usual parchment.

Stationery tracing paper is one of the great alternatives to the above material, as it has a very similar texture. Just grease the tracing paper and start baking.

Baking bags and baking parchment

Not only do baking bags retain heat well, but they also practically do not stick to the dough, making the baking process much easier.

Parchment is a material used for wrapping and storing food. It can also be used for baking, after making sure it is resistant to high temperatures.

Greased baking sheet

This method is considered a classic because it was used by our grandmothers in the days before parchment for baking. Apply margarine, oil, or butter to the surface of the baking sheet. After that, the surface should be sprinkled with flour, semolina, or breadcrumbs. Interestingly, this method is universal and suitable for any kind of baking.

Silicone mats

Housewives have long appreciated the versatility of various silicone kitchen products. This is especially true for the baking process. Silicone mats never stick and do not require additional grease. They are also extremely easy to clean after use.

Foil

This method is considered quite controversial because often the baked goods stick to the foil so that it becomes impossible to separate the product from it. However, for good foil baking, you just need to know how to use it. Place the material shiny side up and grease it. After that, bake the dish without worrying that it will burn.

Non-standard options

Sometimes housewives use non-standard options for baking. For example, flour bags have an inner layer that is somewhat similar to parchment. Simply cut the bag open and use it as parchment, with the inside facing up.

Some housewives also use toast bags in the same way as flour packaging. But it should be remembered that non-standard options do not always work and live up to expectations.
