Ukraine has signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkish manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles Baykar. The details of the agreement are currently undisclosed.

The agreement was announced by Baykar. The signing took place at the SAHA EXPO 2024 defense exhibition in Istanbul on October 22, where the Ukrainian delegation was represented by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and MP and leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev.

Ukraine has signed an important agreement with a leading Turkish UAV manufacturer.

In addition, the Foreign Minister held a series of talks with officials and executives of Turkish defense companies, the ministry said. He also received a symbolic gift from Baykar Makina CEO and SAHA EXPO 2024 Chairman Haluk Bayraktar – a model of the Kizilelma supersonic jet UAV with Ukrainian symbols.

"Today is the 972nd day of the full-scale Russian invasion. Ukraine continues to defend itself. We are grateful to our Turkish partners for their solidarity and assistance. We need additional support from all our partners to overcome Russian aggression and restore a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace," the minister said at the opening of the exhibition and called on Turkish companies to actively invest in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry.
