The most delicious Sushi salad: how to make an original dish for the New Year
New Year's Eve is coming soon, when your dearest people will gather around the festive table. It is important to create a variety of dishes that everyone can enjoy. In particular, the festive table should include delicious salads, among which guests can choose their favorites.
A food blogger with the nickname Aesthetic&Eat yf shared on her YouTube channel how to make the most delicious Sushi salad. This original dish is perfect for the New Year and is also a great alternative to Japanese sushi.
Ingredients for a d20cmbaking dish:
- Sushi rice - 300 gr
- Water - 370 gr
- Vinegar - 25 ml
- Sugar - 15 g
- Salt - ¼ tsp
- Nori leaves - 2 pcs
- Lightly salted red fish - 300 g
- Cucumber - 1 pc
- Avocado - 1 pc
- Cream cheese - 250 g
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
- Soy sauce - for serving
- Wasabi - for serving
- Ginger - for serving
How to cook:
1. Prepare the rice. Put the rice in a bowl, add cold water, stir, and rinse the rice. Repeat this procedure several times until the water becomes clear.
2. Put the rinsed rice in a saucepan, add water, and cover with a lid. Put the pot on medium heat and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and cook the rice for another 15 minutes. Remove the rice from the heat and let it cool for 20 minutes. Transfer the cooled rice to a bowl, season with the sauce, mix, and cool completely.
3. Put the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a separate bowl and stir until all the ingredients are completely dissolved.
4. Cut the cucumber into thin slices using a vegetable peeler.
5. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, take out the flesh, and cut it into thin slices.
6. Cut the red fish into medium-sized cubes.
7. Add soy sauce to the cream cheese and mix until smooth.
8. Cut the nori leaves into small pieces and mix them into the cooled rice.
9. Take a baking dish and coat its walls with vegetable oil.
10. Place the ring on a plate to serve the salad. Put half a portion of nori rice on the bottom. Spread and press the rice over the entire area of the mold.
11. Cover the top with a layer of cream cheese. Next, put the avocado slices and spread a thin layer of cheese. Put the next layer of red fish and spread it with a little cheese. Next, lay out the cucumbers and spread them with cheese.
12. Place the second portion of rice on top, press it well and spread it with cheese.
13. Put the remaining red fish and spread it over the entire salad. Remove the ring.
14. Before serving, cut the salad into portions and season with wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce.
