Ingredients:
- rice - 1 cup
- minced meat - 600-700 g
- onion - 2 pcs
- carrot - 1 pc
- cabbage - 1-2 heads
- oil - for frying
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp
- sour cream - 200 ml
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare the cabbage.
2. Cut the head out to make it easier to separate the leaves.
3. Put the cabbage in a pot of hot water and boil (young cabbage for 1 minute, old cabbage - for 2-3 minutes). Do not overcook so that the leaves remain elastic. Gradually remove the leaves, allowing them to cool slightly.
4. Trim off any tough stems and halve large leaves if necessary.
5. Boil the rice until half cooked.
6. Add the minced meat, onions and carrots fried in oil.
7. Season with salt and pepper, add your favorite spices and mix the filling thoroughly.
8. Put a little bit of it on each cabbage leaf and roll it up so that the edges are folded tightly.
9. Put the cabbage rolls in a saucepan, covering the bottom with cabbage leaves.
10. Add strips of lard for flavor to taste.
11. Mix sour cream with tomato paste and water.
12. Pour over the cabbage rolls so that the sauce completely covers them.
13. Cover and simmer over low heat or bake at 180 degrees for 1-1.5 hours.
