Never buy this butter: what should never be on the package
Butter is one of the most important products in many people's diets. However, on store shelves, you can find not only high-quality products, but also fakes that contain harmful additives. In order to avoid counterfeiting, it is important to read the composition carefully and pay attention to the labeling. Some inscriptions on the package can give away a fake.

1. Check the packaging carefully. First of all, pay attention to the name of the product. If the package says "butter", the product must meet the established standards and contain only milk fat. But if you see the words "spread" or "margarine", it means that vegetable fats are added to the composition, which make the product less healthy.
Also read the composition carefully. Real butter should contain only cream or pasteurized cream. If the ingredients include:
- WFS (milk fat substitute)
- vegetable oils (palm, coconut, soybean, rapeseed, sunflower)
- emulsifiers, stabilizers, thickeners
- flavors and preservatives (E320, E322, E471, E472, E476) - such a product is not real butter and it is better not to buy it.
2. Pay attention to the price. High-quality butter is made from a large amount of milk, so it can't be too cheap. If the price is significantly lower than the market average, it is a signal that there may be cheap substitutes in the composition. Exceptions may be promotional offers, but in general, too low a price is a reason to check the packaging and composition.
3. Evaluate the appearance. If you buy butter by weight or open the package at home, pay attention to its texture and color. Natural butter should be light yellow in color, uniform and smooth in texture. If the product is too bright, crumbles, or looks unnaturally shiny, it may contain artificial additives.
