Instead of fatty cutlets: how to cook delicious minced meatballs for a hearty lunch
Meatballs are a great alternative to traditional fatty cutlets for lunch. They are also much easier to prepare. You can put cheese inside the balls – it will melt, which will be extremely tasty.
The idea of making meatballs with mozzarella in a creamy sauce was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna Movchan. It is best to choose minced pork to make the dish juicy.
Ingredients:
- mozzarella - 200 g
- minced meat - 800 g of minced meat (pork)
- boiled brown rice - 200 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- flour - 1 tbsp.
- cream of 20% fat content - 150 ml. cream
- water - 50 ml. water
- salt and pepper - to taste
- oil for frying
- greens for serving
Method of preparation:
1. Combine the minced meat, rice, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
2. Mix everything well.
3. Cut the mozzarella into small cubes.
4. Form small meatballs, take a portion of minced meat and rice, put a cube of mozzarella inside, and make a ball.
5. Repeat with all the minced meat and cheese. To make it easier to work, you can moisten your hands with water.
6. Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan.
7. Place the meatballs and fry on all sides for a minute to brown them.
8. Dice the onion.
9. Reduce the temperature and add the chopped onion to the meatballs. Stir and fry together for a few minutes.
10. Add the flour, stir gently, and pour in the cream.
11. Add a little water if necessary.
12. Stir, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
13. Serve with finely chopped herbs.
