How to prepare the perfect potato pancakes that do not get dark or fall apart: a detailed recipe
Potato pancakes or deruny are a great dish that can be served both for breakfast and lunch. It's budget-friendly and easy to prepare. Moreover, everyone will enjoy it. However, to make it perfect, you need to know a few nuances.
Food blogger Yulia Senych shared them together with the recipe on Instagram. She explained what needs to be done to keep the pancakes light and whole.
Ingredients
- potatoes - 500 g
- egg - 1 pc
- large onion - 1 pc
- flour - 2 tbsp
- salt
- pepper
- vegetable oil
Method of preparation
1. Grate the potatoes on a fine grater and squeeze out the excess liquid. Add grated onion.
2. Add the egg, salt, pepper and sifted flour. Mix until well combined.
3. Fry in enough oil on both sides until cooked. The batter should resemble sour cream.
4. For the sauce, add grated garlic and chopped herbs to the sour cream and yogurt, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve!
