Gourmet "Madeleine" cookies: how to make delicious pastries at home
"Madeleine" is a small French sponge cake made in the shape of scallops. It was once made for Stanisław Leszczynski by a maid named Madeleine Polmier, according to her grandmother's recipe. The king liked the dessert so much that he decided to name it in honor of the maid.

Ingredients
- Honey – 50 gr
- Flour – 200 gr
- Sugar – 100 gr
- Milk – 60 ml
- Eggs – 3 pcs
- Baking powder – 10 g
- Butter – 200 g
- Lemon zest – 1 pc
- Vanilla sugar
Method of preparation
1. Beat soft butter with sugar with a mixer on low speed for several minutes.
2. Add eggs, warm milk and honey.
3. Mix the flour with the baking powder, lemon zest, vanilla sugar, and salt. Add to the butter mixture and mix.
4. Put the dough into a "Madeleine" mold and bake for 8-20 minutes at 170 degrees.
