"We need to convince": Reznikov explained why Israel does not give weapons to Ukraine
Israeli politicians are quite restrained in providing military assistance to Ukraine because the state has a high proportion of the pro-Russian population. The authorities make their decision taking into account the domestic political situation.
Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov spoke about this during a national telethon. He stressed that Israel still defends the position that open aid to Ukraine would mean destroying the balance inside the country and create risks.
"The pro-Russian population there is enough. Accordingly, politicians are practicing these things," said the minister, adding that now in this state "it is necessary to agitate and convince".
Earlier Israel authorized the export of anti Iranian drone systems to Ukraine. The state approved licenses for the possible sale of the devices. The decision on military assistance to Ukraine for the first time since the start of the Russian war in our country. Previously, the state did not provide it, fearing that such a step could create tensions with Russia and damage Israel's security interests in Syria.
The Israeli publication's information refers to electronic warfare means to suppress and destroy drones, which may be located near power plants or other important facilities, although no names are given officially or unofficially yet.
