Ukraine will liberate Crimea and drive away evil under Russian tricolours, - Zelenskyy during Iftar

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine will definitely liberate Crimea from Russian invaders. Our soldiers will cleanse the island, which was invaded by evil under Russian tricolours nine years ago.

Zelenskyy said this on Friday, April 7, during an iftar (a dinner held during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan). The event took place on the territory of the Birlik Crimean Tatar Cultural Centre in the Kyiv region (to watch the video and video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

It was attended by Ukrainian Muslim soldiers, including chaplains, paramedics and volunteers, leaders of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and representatives of the Muslim clergy.

"Unfortunately, evil, humiliation, repression, murder, war reign on the land of Crimea now, under the Russian tricolour... But where the path of evil began, victory awaits us - victory over this evil. The de-occupation of Crimea has no alternative not only for Ukraine, but for the whole world," the guarantor said.

He stressed that Ukraine will definitely return to Crimea, after which peace will return to the world, as the aggressor country Russia will lose.

"Anything else can only fuel Russia's thirst for war. Let the aggressor feel that no one is allowed to break the lives of peoples and rob nations, no one is allowed to spread evil and ruin around the world. The victory of our state, of each of us, the victory of Ukraine will mean the victory of life - the life of all of us, all Ukrainians, of absolutely all faiths, of different origins, but with one dream and one faith - faith in goodness," the President added.

He awarded the Muslim soldiers who are now defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders.
