Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsygankov of Spanish side Girona scored two goals in the 26th round of the Primera Division. The 25-year-old Ukrainian national team player helped his club avoid defeat in the match against Rayo Vallecano (2:2).
Viktor became the first Ukrainian footballer in history to score a double in a match of the Spanish top flight.
Tsygankov came into the starting line-up and scored in the 26th minute against Stole Dmytrijewski. Our compatriot made a good clearance in the opposition penalty area.
Viktor scored his second goal after the break. The Ukrainian responded to a sharp shot by Javi Hernandez, sending the ball into the far corner with a shot from the fly.
Girona is 12th in the Primera Division with 31 points. "Real Vallecano is in 8th place (36 points.)

Recall that Tsygankov officially became a Girona player on January 17. The 25-year-old midfielder left the Ukrainian club on a full transfer, which cost the Catalans €5m and 50% of the future sale.
