President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia on Monday, March 27. During the trip, he met with IAEA Director Rafael Mariano Grossi.

Together they inspected the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant damaged by Russian shelling. Grossi reported this on his Twitter account.

"The Dnieper Hydroelectric Station is an essential part of the system that sustains the nuclear safety of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed me the recent damage suffered by the dam," he said.

It is worth noting that the Russian occupiers have repeatedly attacked the Dnipro hydroelectric power station in Zaporizhzhia during missile terrorist attacks. For example, on March 9, loud explosions were heard near the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant.

It is noteworthy that this week Grossi will visit the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is located in the temporarily occupied Enerhodar. According to him, despite the fact that the IAEA mission has been working at the plant site for seven months, the situation at Zaporizhzhia NPP remains unstable.

The President also visited a residential building that was hit by a Russian missile on March 22.

Recall that on Monday, March 27, Zelensky arrived at the frontline of the Ukrainian front in the Zaporizhzhia region. He awarded Ukrainian soldiers for their services to the state.
