Limescale often appears on the faucets
The faucet on the tap is often covered with limescale. It is impossible to get rid of it permanently, because water contains particles that settle on the surfaces of sanitary appliances.

What not to clean faucets with
Even ordinary soda can damage the faucet, so any folk recipes should be used carefully and correctly, observing the proportions.
Do not clean the faucet with the following acids:
- acetic
- hydrochloric
- phosphoric
- formic
- chloride
Solvents and abrasives are also not recommended, as well as hard sponges that can scratch the surface.
Cleaning rules
Soft cloths and sponges are suitable for cleaning the mixers. It is better to choose gel products without abrasive particles. Do not leave the detergent on the mixer for a long time to prevent excessive oxidation of the surface. Afterwards, rinse with warm water and wipe with a cloth.
Folk remedies
Chrome surfaces
For chrome surfaces, ordinary laundry soap is suitable. Rub it on a grater and pour hot water over it. You can add a little baking soda and wait until everything dissolves. Leave the product on the surface of the faucet for about an hour, and then rinse gently with water.
Nickel-plated faucet
Experts recommend taking finely ground salt. Pour it on a damp cloth and wipe the faucet. Note that you do not need to rub too hard.
Stainless steel faucet
Although it is not recommended to clean faucets with abrasive products, you can wipe the stainless steel surfaces with baking soda. These surfaces will not be scratched. The baking soda will quickly remove limescale.
Metal surfaces
Using a soft cloth, apply a solution of vinegar and water in a ratio of 1:2. Then rinse with water and dry with a towel.
Any surface can be cleaned with citric acid by preparing a solution of acid and water in a 1:4 ratio.
