Turn it off immediately: what function significantly drains your smartphone battery

The phone's vibrating motor is one of the main charge guzzlers

The situation in Ukraine's power grid is still very difficult, and the need to save gadget power has not disappeared. At the same time, you are most likely using a feature of your smartphone that is not really needed and is literally eating up the charge. And even when you are not using the device.

As OBOZREVATEL has learned, it is a vibration that notifies you of incoming calls and messages. The vibration motor that makes the phone shake is a very energy-intensive thing. Therefore, it should be abandoned for the time when you need to save energy. Give preference to sound notifications.

How to turn off the vibration alert on your smartphone

If you have an Android phone, go to the Settings menu and select Sounds and vibration. In the "Vibration" or "Sound mode" sub-item, switch off this mode. You can do this even easier through the quick menu that is "pulled up" from the top of the screen. Just use the switch icon between sound, vibration, and no signal modes.

iPhone owners also need to use the Settings menu and go to the Universal Access section, select Touch and uncheck the Vibration section. This will completely turn off the phone's vibration.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL talked about four rules that will allow your smartphone to work longer on a single charge.
