Rebrov comments on "10-year contract" with Ukraine national team
Al Ain head coach Serhiy Rebrov commented in an interview with the club's press service on the news that he had received an incredible offer from the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF). The day before, the media reported that Rebrov would be coaching the Yellow and Blue team for 10 years.
"I believe that ten years of coaching the national team is a joke, and my contract with Al Ain expires at the end of this season. Until then, I am the coach of this club," said Rebrov.
Earlier, it was reported that the UAF is considering alternatives to inviting Shakhtar Donetsk coach Igor Jovicevic or Vorskla coach Viktor Skrypnyk.
It will be recalled that in early summer, the Ukrainian national team will play the next matches of the qualifying tournament for the 2024 European Championships with Northern Macedonia (June 16) and Malta (June 19).
In addition, the media reported on UAF's negotiations with Croatian Slaven Bilic. In addition, Serhiy Rebrov reacted sharply to rumours that he would not lead the Blue and Yellows.
On March 26, the national team of Ukraine, led by coach Ruslan Rotan, lost to England without a chance in the opening match of the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament.
