Mercedes is preparing its cheapest electric car, which will take the initial position in the model lineup. The car has already been shown in photos before the premiere.

Anyway, the new electric car has already gone on road tests, it was shown in the photo. The body, of course, is covered with camouflage film, so we do not see any details. However, the streamlined coupe-like silhouette with four doors is obvious.

It is known that the electric model will be built based on the third-generation Mercedes CLA, which is currently being prepared for premiere. The car is also undergoing running tests.

Both cars will be built on the new Mercedes MMA platform. This is a universal architecture, which is suitable for electric cars and cars with internal combustion engines. In this case, all new models of the company equipped with internal combustion engines will turn out to be hybrids.

A new EQC will receive a lot of new technologies. An advanced battery and powerful control electronics, which can increase the range up to 800 kilometers, are among them. The premiere is expected in 2024.
