In the Luhansk region, the Ukrainian Defence Forces inflicted significant losses on the Russian army, exhausting it to the maximum. In particular, attacks south of Dibrova and near Bilohorivka were repelled.

This was reported by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysogor. He noted that this gives time for high-quality training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reservists and the accumulation of a sufficient number of armoured vehicles.

"Active offensive actions by the enemy in our area of the frontline have been going on for over a month. The occupiers have been putting pressure on the Defence Forces, trying to find a more or less weak spot and organise a breakthrough. But they have failed to do so," said the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

Artem Lysohor added that the Russians have repeatedly stated that they are modernising their army, including the abandonment of old equipment. However, the day before yesterday, three enemy IFV-2s were shot down in the Luhansk region, as well as a IFV-1 that had long been decommissioned.

Also, according to him, for several months now, the occupied territory of the Luhansk region has been reluctant to resolve the legal conflict that arose during the transition from one legislation to another. For example, according to Russian law, age-related dismissal from service occurs at the age of 50, while according to the laws of the so-called LPR, it is at 55.

"However, despite numerous appeals from people, the occupation authorities manipulate the timing of the implementation of Russian legislation, in particular in this matter. This allows them to forcibly mobilise more people and, accordingly, dismiss them from service much later," explained Artem Lysogor.

In addition, in Sievierodonetsk, the occupiers detain people for trying to call their families.

"In some districts of Sievierodonetsk, people found places on the roofs of high-rise buildings from where they could call their families. However, this opportunity quickly became known. Since then, the military have started to carefully inspect the roofs. Those who are found there are taken to the commandant's office," said the head of the Luhansk Military Administration.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that on April 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Artem Lysohor as the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration. Prior to that, Lysohor worked as deputy head of the Main Department of the National Police in the Zhytomyr region and acted as deputy commander of the Joint Forces to engage the forces and means of the National Police units.
