"It doesn't say anything": Russian TV tried to make excuses for the defeat in Staromayorske. Video
Despite a series of defeats and huge losses of the Russian occupation army, Kremlin propagandists continue to say that everything is "under control" in Russia. The Kremlin's mouthpieces are also trying to justify the defeat in the village of Staromayorske.
Moreover, propagandists absurdly call the loss of their positions an "unsuccessful" counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A fragment of the propaganda show was published on Telegram (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).
Propagandist Olga Skabeeva complained that amidst the legends about the allegedly "failed" counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the news of the occupiers' loss of Staromayorsk was a bolt from the blue for the Russians.
One of the leaders of the DPR terrorist organisation, Yan Gagin, said that the loss of the position by Russian troops meant nothing. The war criminal also lied that the occupiers were allegedly also advancing on this section of the frontline.
"As for this settlement, yes, indeed, the enemy approached the settlement and entrenched itself on its outskirts. But this is the picture along the entire frontline, there is a similar movement. I would call it the breathing of the frontline. Some 100 metres back and forth. The fact that the enemy is entrenched on the outskirts of this settlement, by and large, does not mean anything," the occupier said.
As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village of Staromayorske in Donetsk Oblast from Russian occupants during a counter-offensive operation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Malyar have already confirmed the liberation of the village.
Earlier it was reported that fighting escalated in two areas of the southern front. In the Orikhiv area of Zaporizhzhia, fighting is taking place near the village of Rabotyne. And 80 kilometres east of there, Ukrainian soldiers drove the invaders out of the village of Staromayorske in Donetsk region.
