An armed man wearing a military uniform entered the territory of a house in the Sherwood luxury cottage complex in Moscow region. He also took two employees of a private security company and a police officer hostage.

The man behaved inappropriately and claimed to have recently returned from the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Russian propaganda media (scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos and videos).

The security of the cottage community received a report of a break-in at one of the houses. When the guards approached the house, they saw a broken window on the ground floor and ammunition and magazines scattered around the room. Inside the house, the guards saw a man wearing a military uniform and bulletproof vest.

The attacker was behaving inappropriately and shouted that "God told him to break into the house". He also managed to tell the guard that he had recently returned from the war in Ukraine.

Russian media reported that the hostages managed to get out of the house, and the Rosgvardia began to storm it. It is noteworthy that the attacker refused to surrender and resisted.

According to local residents, former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych used to live in the house.

"He occupied the house because it was for sale and was not used by anyone. The house is not someone else's, it belongs to God," the militant said.

According to preliminary data, the attacker's name is Vyacheslav, he is 36 years old. He keeps shooting from time to time with a Kalashnikov rifle.
