In Taiwan, a new variety of orchids named "Ukraine" has been bred. Photo

Unique nanoprinted orchids have been created on the island of Taiwan. The flowers are blue and yellow, resembling the Ukrainian flag, and have been named in honor of our country.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky shared this information on Facebook along with photos of the plants (scroll to the bottom of the page to view the photos). The flowers will be sold for charity at the Taiwan International Orchid Exhibition. According to Taipeitimes, the Ukraine orchids have already been presented to Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President William Lai.

This gesture further demonstrates Taiwan's support for Ukraine amidst the war with Russia. Earlier, the country raised over NT$330 million (US$11.64 million) to aid our country.
