"I'll figure out who I need to communicate with on my own". Rebrov responds harshly to his "appointment" to Ukraine's national team

Al Ain head coach Serhiy Rebrov responded sharply to journalist Roman Bebekh's question about whether he had already had any contacts with Ukrainian Football Association president Andriy Pavelko about signing a contract with the Ukrainian national team. Rebrov said that he was free to communicate with anyone and was not obliged to report to journalists.

The coach emphasised that he would not say anything, even if it were true. Such meetings are his private life and his personal contacts.

"And I once again ask all people in Ukraine to respect me, I will figure out with whom I want to communicate," Bombardyr quoted Rebrov as saying.

Serhiy Stanislavovych noted that he has been playing games for two months, with the fourth one coming up in three days, and now he has to concentrate on his team, which needs him and which needs him.

"I shouldn't have to refute or confirm the rumours of journalists who are just trying to make their name on someone's name (mine, Markevych's or Leonenko's), to show their importance. If people are working, then focus on their work, and not call every day and shout about some nonsense that Rebrov has signed a 10-year contract," the coach concluded.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on April 17, journalist Viktor Vatsko said that Rebrov had agreed on the terms of the contract with the UAF and would take over the national team on the eve of the Euro 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia ( June 16) and Malta ( June 19).

The UAE categorically reacted to these rumours, stating that the information about the appointment was not true.

Rebrov himself also urged not to speculate on his name because of rumours about his work in the Ukrainian national team.

Recall that under Ruslan Rotan's leadership, the Ukrainian national team lost to England without a chance in the opening game of the 2024 European Championship qualifiers.
