How to remove deodorant stains

Even the most expensive deodorants often leave stains on clothes. Sometimes they penetrate the fabric so deeply that they cannot be washed out. Even bleach doesn't help with yellow stains on white clothes, and deodorant marks on black clothes are difficult to hide.

If the stains do not disappear even after washing in the machine, try home life hacks. OBOZREVATEL has collected the most effective ones.

Vinegar

Vinegar should never be used on white clothes. However, it is suitable for colored and black things. Take 9% vinegar and pour a little on a cotton pad or sponge. Gently wipe the vinegar into the deodorant stain. After 10 minutes, wash the clothes in the washing machine.

Lemon juice

This is the most effective and popular method. However, be careful as lemon juice will not remove old deodorant stains. Before using lemon juice on black and colored clothes, first test it: try putting a few drops on an inconspicuous spot. Take half a lemon and squeeze the juice into a container. Rub the juice in the stain and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then wash it in cool water and detergent. The stain should come out.

Laundry soap and aspirin

A few decades ago, laundry soap was used to remove the most difficult stains. It also works well with deodorant stains. The recipe is simple: rub the stain with soaked laundry soap and wait at least half an hour. Then soak the clothes for an hour in soapy water. After that, you can machine wash it.

Experts also advise buying aspirin at the pharmacy. Dissolve 2 tablets in 70 ml of cool water. The resulting mixture should be used to rub sweat stains using an old toothbrush. The solution should be left for at least 3 hours.

Old tights

Using nylon tights to fight traces of deodorant is quite strange, but experts say that this method was once very popular. It is advised to simply wipe the dried deodorant stain on black or colored clothes with a piece of unnecessary nylon.

Glycerin

Glycerin will also remove sweat and deodorant stains quickly and efficiently. You can even use a dishwashing detergent that contains glycerin. Apply a thick layer of it to the stain and leave it on for an hour. Then you should put the item in the washing machine and wash it as usual.
