How to transplant roses in the fall

Experienced housewives know that they need to prepare gardens for the onset of the cold season in the fall, especially roses. Flowers need to be transplanted so that they bloom profusely next season.

OBOZ.UA has collected effective tips that will help you cope with this. It is important to prepare for transplanting in advance to create favorable conditions for the development and growth of the bush.

The owners should start preparing the site 15-20 days before planting. To do this, dig a shallow hole and fill the bottom with brick chips, expanded clay (environmentally friendly drainage for plants) and river sand. The last layer should be of good quality soil.

The soil should be well-moistened. Thus, if it hasn't rained, water the selected area abundantly the day before planting.

Carefully dig up the rose bush so as not to touch the roots, inspect the plant and remove damaged and dry branches if necessary.

The prepared flower hole can be treated with a special plant biostimulant that will help the roots take root faster in a new place. Wait until the mixture is completely absorbed by the ground, then place the bush into the hole. Fill the roots with soil so that there are no cavities, water and tamp more soil on top.

Mulch the soil around the plant. You can use bark, sawdust, pebbles, fallen leaves or fresh pine needles.
