How to restore the bathtub to white color and not damage the enamel: a life hack without chemicals

Cleaning the house is a laborious and time-consuming process. Ukrainians are constantly looking for tricks to help them clean up their "nest", including the bathroom, as quickly and effortlessly as possible.

The Express publication told us how to clean the bathroom to a perfect shine in just 15 minutes. After all, over time, the bathtub can lose its luster and its color becomes dull. The bathtub becomes grayer not only because of wear and tear, but also because of hard water.

Hard water contains many minerals that react with the bathtub surface, changing its color and even making it rusty. Any dirt in it, including soap scum, is more difficult to remove if it accumulates over time. Therefore, it is better to include bathtub cleaning in your regular house or apartment cleaning ritual. But this does not mean that you need to scrub it for hours, because if you use the right cleaning solutions, you only need to wait a while for the product to start working.

How to clean the bathroom

To create the product, you need to take

• baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
• white vinegar
• a spray bottle
• sponge
• soft cloth;
• paper towels (for heavy stains).

First, sprinkle baking soda on the bathtub. If there are problems with the drainage through the drain hole, you can pour a little baking soda there as well to clean the drain. After that, mix vinegar and water one to one in a spray bottle and shake well. Spray the solution around the bathtub on top of the baking soda.

Now you need to wait a few minutes for the solution to begin to foam, and then take a sponge and rub the vinegar and baking soda mixture around the bathtub, paying attention to all the spots. Once the entire bathtub is covered with the solution, leave it for 10-15 minutes.

For heavy stains or dullness of the bathtub, you can take a paper towel and dip it in white vinegar. After that, it should be glued over the area of contamination and left for several hours. In the end, you will need to sprinkle the stain with baking soda, let it work for a few minutes, and then rub it well.

You can also keep the vinegar solution on hand to quickly wipe down the bathtub after use. Then you can remove the remaining soap suds right away and not do a general cleaning. When cleaning the bathtub, always avoid using sharp or abrasive products, including sponges, as they can damage the surface.
