How to quickly get rid of grease on kitchen towels: a life hack for washing

Kitchen towels get dirty quickly due to constant humidity, grease stains, and dirt that cannot always be removed with chemicals. Housewives should change them regularly to avoid the growth of bacteria and germs.

OBOZ.UA has found an effective life hack that will help to cope with unwanted stains. You will need ingredients that are available in every home.

Aggressive chemicals can cause skin irritation, so it's better to make an effective solution yourself.

Pour a liter of water into a saucepan, add 60 grams of salt and three tablespoons of bleach. Mix everything and bring the liquid to a boil. Then immerse the dirty towels and boil them for five minutes. Turn off the heat, put the lid on the pot, and leave it to cool completely.

When the solution has cooled, remove the towels and wash them in the washing machine. Add the detergent as usual and add another tablespoon of soda ash to the drum. Start the machine on the hand wash or delicate cycle.

Then hang the towels outdoors or in a well-ventilated room. This simple method will remove grease stains and odors. You can use the solution for different types of fabric.
