Kanchelskis laughs at Chelsea

Former Dynamo Kyiv, Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester United footballer Andrei Kanchelskis has ridiculed Chelsea London over the situation surrounding Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk and the team's performance this season. The former Russian national team player criticised the current management of the Blues and expressed solidarity with the fans of the capital's club.

Kanchelskis said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel RT. The native of Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi) called the current Chelsea a laughing stock after Roman Abramovich's departure and unacceptable when outsiders appear in the team's dressing room, which happened to Mykhailo and his agent.

"The dressing room is really a kind of family, and outsiders have no right to enter. I don't know why they let Mykhailo Mudryk's agent in, but it's quite strange. That's why Chelsea is in a mess: it's the management and the team that are in a mess. I think that after Roman Abramovich left, Chelsea, of course, turned from a top EPL club into a laughing stock. That's true. Under Abramovich, the Londoners were transformed and regularly won titles, won the Champions League, and reached the finals. I stand in solidarity with the fans: they are right about everything. I wish them good luck and that they will ever get a manager like Abramovich," Kancelskis said.

Earlier, he spoke cynically about the war in Ukraine, talking about his mother who remained in Kropyvnytskyi. In addition, Kanchelskis called the British stupid and accused them of allegedly discriminating against Russians.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the authoritative Spanish newspaper AS called Ukrainian Chelsea midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk a Russian before the Champions League match.
