Repotting flowers

Spring and early summer are the perfect time to transplant houseplants. It is very easy to do it: you just need to remove the old soil, spread the roots on a hill of fresh soil and add soil on top.

You can use natural organic fertilizers for lush flowering. What fertilize indoor flowers when transplanting - read in the material OBOZREVATEL.

Wood ash

It is one of the most powerful and popular fertilizers. Ash has a protective and disinfecting function. It is best suited for:

  • geraniums;
  • fuchsia;
  • begonia.

Mix 1 liter of water and 25 grams of ash and wait about a week for the fertilizer to infuse. Then water the plants under the root, but not more often than once every 2 weeks.

Banana peel fertilizer

Banana peels contain magnesium, potassium and phosphorus - they are essential for quality growth and healthy fruiting. At the bottom of the pot it is necessary to put claydite or pebbles - this will create a reliable drainage layer. Then we pour a little soil, and on top of it we put banana peels.

Yeast fertilizer

Yeast contains cytokinins, which have an important function - they are responsible for cell division. Without them, rapid and healthy plant growth is impossible. Yeast also contains vitamin B, which is essential in the development process.

Prepare the fertilizer is very simple: in a container of 1 liter of water dissolve 1 g of dry yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar. After a three-hour infusion, dilute the solution with water in a ratio of 1:5.

Sugar Fertilizers

House plants need glucose as a building material. But prepare a sugar solution once a month, more frequent feeding will have a bad effect on the plant. Sugar and water should be mixed in the proportion of 1 tablespoon of sugar per 1 liter of water.

Citrus peels

The peels of lemons, oranges, or tangerines will saturate the soil with nitrogen and repel pests.

Brewed Tea Fertilizer

With tea fertilizers, usually used to increase soil friability and better oxygen penetration, experts advise caution. Be sure to dry the brew before using it and store it in a separate bag.
