Rebrov to lead Ukraine's national team

The head coach of the Emirati club Al Ain, Serhiy Rebrov, may continue to work at his current club. At the same time, the information that the legendary striker of Dynamo Kyiv has agreed a three-year contract with the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) and will lead the national team is not true.

Arab journalist Mohammed Hamad is trying to convince fans of this on his Twitter page. According to him, Rebrov and the Al Ain management are negotiating to extend the current agreement, but the coach demands that several conditions be met.

"The coach may announce the extension of his contract with Al Ain before the end of the season if the team can fulfil some requests regarding players and conditions to achieve their goals. Rebrov has set himself the goal of winning the AFC Champions League next season. He wants to achieve it. What the Ukrainian federation is doing now is an attempt to disguise the catastrophic failure that has befallen Ukrainian football, especially after the recent 2-0 defeat to England," the media representative said.

Recall that under Ruslan Rotan's leadership, the Ukrainian national team lost to England without a chance in the opening game of the 2024 European Championship qualifiers. In early summer, the Blue and Yellows will play Northern Macedonia ( June 16) and Malta ( June 19).

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has given a final answer as to whether the Ukrainian national team will withdraw from the 2024 UEFA European Championship after the order banning our athletes from participating in tournaments to which representatives of Russia and Belarus were allowed.
