Britney Spears, Trump, Kardashian and more. Celebrity plastic surgeon names celebrities who have secretly had 'beauty surgeries'
It's no secret that celebrities often resort to plastic surgery. No other area is under such close "supervision": fans always notice changes in appearance, atypical behavior of celebrities, and often pay attention to the words of stars.
But such procedures, from the old-fashioned nose job to more modern buttock lifts, don't always go according to plan, the Daily Mail reports. According to celebrity plastic surgeon Gary Moticky, this happens much more often than we might imagine.
The most famous people often turn to him for corrective surgery to correct surgical mistakes of the past. Motiki added that it is "typical if patients are going under the knife for the first time" because they may not know what to watch out for.
Khloe Kardashian's ever-growing butt has been a topic of gossip for years. Dr. Motiki believes that the 39-year-old American may have undergone unsuccessful buttock surgery aimed at increasing the size.
While the star's 2014 photo shows a distinctly augmented shape, the more recent pictures depict a more natural look. It's unclear what procedure she may have had, but popular interventions include fat transfer, where fat cells are extracted from other parts of the body, such as the thighs, and injected into the buttocks.
Dr. Motiki says that while the case of 90s fashion icon Linda Evangelista is well known, it is perhaps the most extreme he has seen. The supermodel was left "disfigured" after a botched cosmetic procedure left "hard, numb bulges" on her body.
Evangelista, now 58 years old, underwent a full-body Cool Sculpting procedure in 2015, an alternative to liposuction where fat cells are frozen to destroy them. But shortly after the procedure, she experienced a serious side effect - paradoxical fatty hyperplasia, when fat cells grow and form bulges.
Evangelista tried several times to correct the botched operation, but, according to her, it was unsuccessful. In 2021, she filed a lawsuit against the company behind Cool Sculpting. It was settled last July for a total of $50 million.
According to Dr. Motiki, the 36-year-old Gossip Girl superstar appears to have had a nose job on multiple occasions. She most likely had her nose reduced in size before joining the cast of the aforementioned series in 2007 and then again sometime in 2010.
The first result was good, the expert says, but the bridge of her nose may have been a bit too wide for her taste. "Sometimes actresses like to make more gradual changes in their appearance so that it's not noticeable to the public," Motiki says.
Trump does not hide his pride in his famous blond hair. But the former president probably had scalp reduction surgery that was not very successful, says Dr. Motiki. And it took several hair transplants to hide it, he adds.
Scalp reduction surgery is aimed at treating hair loss on the top of the head. Hair follicles are taken from other areas, such as the sides of the head, and transplanted to areas where hair is thinning.
"First, it is an invasive surgery that can leave patients with a large scar and hair reoriented in strange, unnatural directions. Secondly, there are much better hair restoration options nowadays that give a more natural result with minimal scarring," the professional explains.
Dr. Motiki says that pop legend Britney Spears has probably undergone at least two nose jobs or rhinoplasties. The first one was in the early 2000s, when she narrowed the bridge of her nose to give it a thinner shape.
In 2013, the shape of Britney's nose changed for the second time, and her tip became thinner. Dr. Motiki said: "When Britney was little, she had a wider nose at the bridge and a more convex nose at the tip. It was only a few years after she became a superstar that we saw her nose shrink, so she most likely had a rhinoplasty."
