Anna Wintour met with Ukrainian designers: she is considered one of the most influential persons in the world of fashion
Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, who is considered one of the most influential people in the fashion world, met with Ukrainian designers in Paris. On September 28, 18 talented Ukrainians presented their collections at the Vogue UA Ukrainian Designers Showcase event during the Fashion Week.
The event was aimed at popularizing Ukrainian brands, and the presence of such a famous personality as Anna Wintour certainly contributed to this. The details of the event were shared by the editors of the Ukrainian glossy's Instagram (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photos).
The photos and videos show that Anna Wintour listens attentively to Ukrainian designers and asks questions. She personally looked at the clothes and gave her comments, after which she took a picture and left an autograph.
Famous Ukrainian designer Ivan Frolov shared a photo with the editor-in-chief of the Fashion Bible on his Instagram page and admitted that his dream had come true.
"Thank you very much, Anna Wintour, for your support of Ukraine and Ukrainian designers. Thank you very much to the VOGUE UA team for making my dream come true," he said in the post.
It's worth noting that the American edition of Vogue is considered one of the most authoritative in the fashion world, and its 72-year-old editor-in-chief has gained a lot of respect in the world thanks to her sense of style.
Wintour has been at the helm since 1988 and has become famous for her tough and demanding leadership style, earning her the nicknames "Nuclear Winter" (the English word Wintour is similar to winter) and "Hitler in a skirt".
Earlier, OBOZREVATEL wrote that for the first time in two years, the famous British fashion house Burberry held a show in London. The long-awaited show mentioned Ukraine and honored the memory of Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8.
