A math problem with a trick will make you think: only the smartest will find the right answer

At first glance, math puzzles where numbers are replaced by objects seem very simple. But when you try to solve them, you begin to realize that everything is actually much more interesting and complicated.

An example of such a puzzle is published by OBOZ.UA. It went viral on the web and made even former excellent students rack their brains.

Look at the picture. You see a pair of sneakers, a man, and a bag of seeds that replace the numbers in the equations. The task of the puzzle is to determine the corresponding values hidden under the images and solve the final example.

Everything seems simple, and the numbers hidden under the figures are calculated without any problems - you only need basic arithmetic knowledge. But the last equation stumps most people. They give different answers.

So, let's do the math.

The sum of three pairs of sneakers is 30. So, one pair is 10. So one sneaker is 5.

The sum of two men plus one pair of sneakers is 20. Thus, the number 5 is hidden under the man.

Two bags of seeds, plus two bags of seeds, plus the little man is 13. So a couple of bags of seeds is 4, and one bag is 2.

The final equation in this case is as follows: one sneaker is 5 (half of 10), the little man with two bags of seeds wearing the sneakers is 19, and one bag of seeds is 2. So, the example to solve is this:

5 + 19 х 2 = 43
