The most delicious chicken gravy: perfect for mashed potatoes

You can make your meals more filling and delicious with a simple gravy that will go well with mashed potatoes, pasta, buckwheat, rice, cutlets, and even dumplings. It can be prepared with or without meat, mushrooms, and can be based on tomato paste or other sauce.

Food blogger Irina Savrazhande(ira.savraz) shared a recipe on her Instagram page for a delicious gravy with chicken and spinach that is perfect for mashed potatoes.

Ingredients:

• chicken fillet
• carrot
• onion
• frozen\fresh spinach

• flour + water
• spices

Method of preparation:

1. First, boil the fillet in salted water until tender, rinse and cut into cubes or tear into fibers. Put it in a saucepan, cover with water and put on the fire.

2. Grate the carrots on a fine grater, cut the onion into cubes, if you use fresh spinach, chop it too.

3. Add vegetables and herbs to the fillet, add spices if desired. Cook for 10 minutes.

4. Dissolve flour and water, pour into a saucepan. Cook until slightly thickened.
