Stewed potatoes with meat and vegetables: how to cook a hearty dish for lunch
In addition to the usual mashed potatoes and rustic potatoes, there are other ways to cook potatoes deliciously. For example, stewed with vegetables and meat. Affordable ingredients, a minimum of time and effort – this is enough to make a hearty dinner.
Food blogger Viktoriia (kelbas_v) shared a recipe for delicious stewed potatoes with vegetables and meat on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- onion – 200 g
- carrots – 150-200 g
- meat – 500 g
- potatoes – 1 kg
- water – 400-500 ml
- oil for frying – 3 tbsp.
Spices:
- salt –1.5-2 tbsp.
- black peppercorns – 10 pcs
- ground pepper – 1 tsp.
- bay leaves – 3-4 pcs.
- curry – 0.5 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. All the ingredients should be cut into cubes.
2. Heat a saucepan with oil. Fry the meat first for 5 minutes.
3. Add a little more oil and add the carrots and onions. Fry all together for 5 minutes.
4. Pour water, add all the spices, and bring to a boil.
5. Then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Add the potatoes. Cook over low heat under a lid for 40-50 minutes.
