Orzo is a type of Italian pasta that looks like rice. This is a very interesting product when you want to surprise with a cooked dish.
A food blogger with the nickname polli_cooking shared her recipe for orzo with mussels. On Instagram, she explained how to cook orzo with mussels so that everyone would think it was rice.

Ingredients:
- Orzo pasta – 100 gr
- Butter – 15 gr
- Onion – 1 pc
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Sweet pepper
- Mussels – 300-400 gr
- Salt
- Provencal herbs
- Cream 15-20% – 150 ml
- Parsley
- Parmesan cheese
Method of preparation:
1. Put the pasta in boiling, salted water and boil for 15-20 minutes.
2. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic over medium heat, then add the bell pepper.
Fry the onions.

3. Pour in the previously thawed mussels, add salt, and spices, and mix well.

4. Pour in the cream at room temperature, reduce the heat to low, and cook for another 6-7 minutes.
Add orzo and stew.

5. Add parsley and orzo pasta to the sauce, stir, and add finely grated Parmesan cheese.
