Bulgarian banitsa: what to cook if you have only pita bread, cheese, eggs and kefir at home

If your refrigerator is empty of food other than cheese, pita bread, eggs, and kefir, it's time to make Bulgarian banitsa. This is a very easy to prepare, yet extremely tasty dish that will please everyone.
Food blogger Olha Riabenko shared her recipe for bania on her Instagram. She also told us how to fold the pita bread correctly to make the dish look beautiful.

Ingredients:
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Kefir - 600 ml
- Eggs - 6 pcs
- Cottage cheese - 300 g
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Butter - 50 g
Method of preparation:
1. Put the pita bread in a baking dish as shown in the photo.

2. Combine kefir, eggs, cheese, and salt in a separate bowl. Blend with a blender.
Mix kefir, eggs and cottage cheese.

3. Pour the mixture over the pita bread.

4. Put the butter, cut into pieces.
5. Put it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven and cover with a towel. Leave to cool slightly.
