Boil potatoes before baking: a trick that housewives use
Baked potatoes are a delicious and affordable dish for all occasions. You can bake them with bacon, meat, vegetables, cheese, or just spices. But it's not enough to just put them in the oven to make sure they have the perfect structure.
Food blogger Olexii Kriuchkov (kruchkov.food) shared a recipe for baked potatoes on his Instagram page.
According to the recipe, it is advisable to boil the potatoes before baking. This way, they won't fall apart and stick together during the baking process and will have a perfect shape. The same applies to the structure: the potatoes will be soft on the inside and have a golden, crispy crust on the outside.
Ingredients:
- potatoes
- spices (herbs, paprika, salt, pepper)
- olive oil
- garlic
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-sized pieces. Put in a saucepan.
2. Pour boiling water over the potatoes and put on the fire. Cook for 10 minutes.
3. Drain the water from the cooked potatoes, and add chopped garlic, spices, and olive oil. Stir to combine.
4. Put the potatoes on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
