A successful marinade for baked mackerel: the best recipe
Mackerel is a versatile, budget-friendly fish that is suitable for baking, stuffing, and pickling. In all these cases, the fish should be well prepared, namely, a good marinade. This will make the mackerel soft, tender, and juicy.
Food blogger Tetiana Sheremet (tania_sheremet_) shared a recipe for baked mackerel in a successful soy marinade on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- mackerel – 2 pcs.
- soy sauce – 4 tbsp
- lemon zest – 1/4 pc
- lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- ground coriander – 1 tsp.
- sugar – 1 tsp. without a slide
- lemon pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut off the head and fins of the mackerel, and remove the insides. Wash, cut into two fillets, and cut each of them in half.
2. For the marinade, mix soy sauce, sugar, coriander, lemon zest juice, and lemon pepper.
3. Marinate the fish in the resulting marinade for 30 minutes.
4. After marinating, wrap each piece of fish in a roll and secure the sides with a toothpick. Put into a baking dish and pour over the remaining sauce.
5. Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
