"To begin with, who is Daryna?" Oksana Bilozir put an end to the public dispute with the widow of Nazarii Yaremchuk

People's Artist of Ukraine Oksana Bilozir has decided to end her public dispute with the widow of pop singer Nazarii Yaremchuk, Daryna. The celebrity noted that the fact that the public saw the movie "Yaremchuk: The Incomparable World of Beauty" is undoubtedly positive, but, in her opinion, the singer should have appeared before the public as "an integral part of our culture," not a member of one family.

The politician shared her thoughts in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. The singer is convinced that the film should have depicted the full life of Nazarii Yaremchuk, including his first family.

"Well, look, let's start with who Daryna is. She is Nazarii Yaremchuk's wife. I am an artist who has spent my entire adult life with Nazarii Yaremchuk. And for me, he is a historical figure of Ukraine, he does not belong only to his family. Daryna was his wife, for her, he was her husband, and I understand her perfectly. She is a good person. What they have done is a very good project," the singer said.

In addition, Oksana Bilozir commented on Daryna Yaremchuk's words that she "wanted to watch a movie" about her first husband, composer Ihor Bilozir, who was brutally murdered on May 28, 2000, in Lviv. The politician noted that such a movie already exists and she has nothing to hide.

"It's just that Daryna hasn't seen it, it's called 'Footprint on the Ground.' It shows him well and right. That movie is a chronicle-documentary, not a personalized one from me or our son. The film was shot from the point of view of the historical process in which Ihor Bilozir lived and worked. Because he created music not only for songs, he created music for performances, for movies, worked a lot in Hollywood, wrote a lot of background music," the singer said.

The People's Artist of Ukraine added that she believes she did everything possible to ensure that her late husband's creative legacy remains in our cultural and information space.

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA, Oksana Bilozir reacted emotionally to the absence of her first family in the film about Nazarii Yaremchuk. In her opinion, the movie should have portrayed people who influenced the formation of the singer's talent.

"The first family is the brightest page in his story. Because he started with them, they were his inspirations. His wife sang in a band with him. It seems to me that the most important thing is the start, the beginning. The first steps, which are the most difficult, but also the most treasured in terms of memory," the star said.

For her part, Daryna Yaremchuk responded to the artist's criticism with a short message on social media: "Everyone has the right to their own story. I could also tell a lot of things, but I will never be able to criticize anyone. Because Nazarii and I spent many nights at Ihor Bilozir's house in Lviv. It would be nice to see a movie about Bilozir!"
