Time magazine names 13 women of the year who make the world a better place

Time magazine has announced the list of the most outstanding women of the year. It includes 13 women from completely different fields of activity, including famous stars, human rights activists, and scientists.
According to its website, the women on the list are "working toward a better, more equal world." According to Time editor Lucy Feldman, they were able not only to identify socially significant problems, but also promised to help solve them.
"Challenges are abundant, from gender-based violence and attacks on women’s rights to the dangers of a volatile climate. But everywhere those threats can be found, so too can leaders pushing for change. The 13 women on this year’s list are all, in their own way, working toward creating a better, more equitable world. This year, we honor women who have identified a problem and vowed to be part of the solution," the editor said.

Australian actress Nicole Kidman has been named one of the most prominent women of 2025. In 2017, the celebrity made a promise that she would collaborate with at least one female director every 18 months. Since then, she has joined 19 projects created by women.
72-year-old Frenchwoman Gisele Pelicot, who was abused by her husband, was also included. She decided to give up her legal right to anonymity, so she became a symbol of hope for all rape survivors and openly advocated for change in society.

Amanda Zurawski, an American activist, also made it to the list. She filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas. The fact is that while carrying a child, the woman experienced serious complications that threatened her life, so she wanted to have an abortion. However, in Texas, such an abortion is prohibited. Since then, Zurawski has become an important figure in the reproductive rights movement.
