"This is not my job". The Ukrainian actress admitted how Zelenskyy treated his colleagues on the set of "Servant of the People"

Actress Anastasia Karpenko ("How is Katia?", "Carrier", "House of Hope", "Doctor Kovalchuk"), who starred in both parts of the film "Servant of the People", told us what she thought of working on the set of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The famous actor, now the President of Ukraine, played the main role in the movie.

Anastasia Karpenko was given the role of opposition journalist Yana Klymenko in "Servant of the People". In an interview with OBOZ.UA, the actress readily recalled the time of filming.

"I have positive impressions of meeting and communicating with Zelenskyy," says Anastasia. "Volodymyr is sincere and open, easy to communicate with all departments of film production. He treated people of any profession with respect, whether you are an editor or an actor. I watched this and, frankly, I was delighted. I was delighted with his simplicity, his indifference, his professionalism. He didn't have the attitude that this is not my job, I won't do it. He dealt with absolutely everything, and quickly resolved any issues. And he treated his colleagues as if they were his family, not a film crew. As if he was doing it for himself, his wife, and children."

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that actor Serhiy Kalantai, who starred in The Servant of the People alongside Volodymyr Zelenskyy, told details from the movie set. Serhiy Kalantai played the head of the IMF, Otto Adelweinsteiner, in the TV movie.

"I've heard versions that the story of the movie was conceived a long time ago so that Zelenskyy would become president," Kalantai admitted. I can only say that I had a good colleague and a great organizer on the set. "Servant of the People" was made very sincerely, it is a worthy work. In terms of material support, the movie was fully in line with the European level."

Years after filming, actor Kalantai had the opportunity to meet Zelenskyy once again: "All the memories of that life, when I knew Volodymyr Oleksandrovych as Volodia, are very pleasant for me. When he awarded me the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine on the stage of the Franko Theater, I was afraid to hug him. But I couldn't. We winked at each other, and shook hands – it's a different relationship, and it's understandable."
