Rohovtseva suggested that Ukrainians could eventually forgive Russians and remembered how devastasting the death of Da Vinci was for her

Ada Rohovtseva suggested that Ukrainians can forgive Russians and recalled the death of Da Vinci.

Famous Ukrainian actress Ada Rohovtseva does not rule out that someday Ukrainians will be able to forgive Russians. According to the legend of the national theater and cinema, mercy is simply inherent in the genetics of the Ukrainian people. However, it may take more than a dozen years and perhaps even centuries.

Forgiveness is out of the question today, Ada is convinced. Russia is destroying our nation, history and culture. She shared her thoughts in an interview for the YouTube channel "Sukhanov Talks".

When the interviewer asked whether Ukrainians will ever be able to forgive the Russian nation, the actress replied, "Of course, as we are Ukrainians. Still, several generations must pass for it to happen. Proper upbringing, repentance and payback. All these stages must pass. We have the opportunity to confront because of the open war. But this war and the destruction of the Ukrainian nation have always been there. The propaganda spread like cancer and the smart ones were intimidated. Ukraine has learned to rest between blows. We are facing this now. I know a family that excluded all news and said, 'Well, it will be that it will be.' The fear has control now. Evetyone is scared. Our nation, history and culture are being destroyed. It seems to me that we are on our own and we have to find a way out of it."

She is now doing everything possible to bring Ukraine's victory in the terrorist war closer. Because of her active civic position and volunteer activities, the People's Artist has a huge number of close friends in the military. The star worries about them as for her own children and losses are especially painful.

Thus, the actress was devastated by the death of the legendary Ukrainian defender Dmitro Kotsyubaylo, better known under the call sign Da Vinci. The Hero of Ukraine was killed in March 2023 in the battles for Bakhmut. His death was so devastating as he was her only son, who passed away in 2012 after a long battle with a severe form of cancer.

"I howled like a wolf when my son died. I couldn't stop. Now I howled again when Da Vinci died. I howled like a wolf when I heard of his death. They kill the best people who would have made Ukraine very different," celebrity said.

As OBOZREVATEL wrote, earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhny sent Ada Rohovtseva some symbolic gifts. The celebrity is known not only for her roles in film and theater but also for systematic help and support of our military at the front.
