American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday on July 24 with friends and family, but without her husband Ben Affleck. She threw a real royal ball in the style of the Bridgertons TV series for her 55th birthday.

J.Lo posted a montage of footage from the party on Instagram, which included ballroom dancing, an orchestra with medieval-style wigs, candle blowing, and several photos from the day. The entire video was accompanied by the Bridgertons' soundtrack by Archer Marsh – Give Me Everything.

"My dear reader... And a wonderful evening was had by all," the singer signed it. The first sentence seemed to be a reference to the years when people wrote letters to each other.

The singer also thanked everyone for their congratulations in a huge post on social media: "All last night and this morning I saw all your birthday greetings, beautiful videos and posts from all over the world. I laughed, I smiled, I shed tears, and when I saw the billboard in Times Square, I was completely overwhelmed. I truly have the best, most amazing fans in the world. I will never be able to express how touched I am and how incredibly happy I am to have all of you as a part of my life. Thank you so much."

Later, she added that she loves her fans and family very much, and decided to thank them for their support: "It's hard to believe we've spent all this time together. It's funny, as I sit here reflecting on this most extraordinary journey, I still feel like the same girl who started out, so full of energy and bravado, so ready to conquer the world from the outside, and yet so tender, fragile, sometimes scared, but always full of love on the inside. I have so much love for you. On my birthday, I want you to know that you are my greatest gift. Among the guests at the birthday party was J.Lo's mother Guadalupe Rodriguez, who also appeared at the party in the appropriate royal dress code. However, the video did not include the artist's (ex)husband Ben Affleck, which once again confirms fans' speculation about their breakup.

Moreover, the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary separately from each other. The singer spent the day in New York, while the 51-year-old producer stayed in Los Angeles.
