The Prince and Princess of Wales recorded a video for British athletes to mark the end of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Despite the hopes of their fans, the royal couple was unable to make it to the French capital.

In a new video posted on their official Instagram account, William and Kate sincerely addressed the British team, which is taking home 65 medals.

The footage shows the princess wearing the iconic white blouse with black stripes – in this outfit, Middleton recorded a message to her subjects when she announced her diagnosis in March 2024. Prince William, in turn, surprised his fans with a blond beard. The future king wore a polo shirt designed for British Olympians.

Welsh recorded the message at their home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall. The video also featured other celebrities, including rapper Snoop Dogg and footballer David Beckham. "Congratulations to Team GB," Kate said to the camera, "Well done for everything you have achieved. You have been an inspiration to us all," William added.

There has been speculation that the royal couple might make a surprise appearance at the Olympics in Paris, People writes. This summer, the couple kept to themselves, spending time alone with their three children. Although their presence remained uncertain, it was believed that it depended on Princess Kate's ongoing cancer treatment, as she mentioned that she had "good days and bad days."
